What does FPV mean?
FPV (First Person View) is a way of flying a drone by watching a live video feed from a camera mounted on the drone, streamed to goggles or a screen, instead of watching the drone from the ground. It feels like you're sitting in the drone's cockpit.
What makes up a basic FPV system?
- FPV Camera: Analog or digital camera on the drone, chosen for low latency.
- VTX (Video Transmitter): Sends the video feed from the drone.
- VRX (Video Receiver) / Goggles: Receives and displays the video for the pilot.
- Radio Transmitter: Sends control commands to the drone over RF.
- Antenna: Has a major impact on signal quality and range.
